yea just snap that very end of the tip off with a pair
of small needle nose pliers.

I might need to make a scribing video soon. I did a putty video, and a lighting video, so why not? That is something for the future....
You are in the right profession G because you are an excellent instructor. You have my vote for another tutorial!!!

Thank you. No secret, I cannot have chemical additives in food or I get sick. So I eat pretty healthy. No fast food or convince food.

Second I exercise quite a bit. Three times a week I am on a weight machine for 30 minutes and twice a week I ride my bike 5 miles then run a mile. I am about to go do that now.....

I am also fortunate in that I do not have a desk job. I spend time walking at work about half of the time.

Back in my youth, I use to run track and got a scholarship offer to be on a track team.

I started the run after the bike ride about 11 months ago. It took me three months to be able to run the whole thing. I am still getting faster at it. The run has added quite a bit to how I feel. I also have much more energy than a year ago.

When we have a bike and then a run we call that a "Brick work out"
it's not easy ......it's tough the only word I can come up with to describe
it is "Bio-mechanical dysfunction" LOL Because it's takes
a while for your legs to realize they are being used in a different
motion. ;D After 20mi on the bike then you get off to run 10k
it's like wow.....i need at least 1/2mi to 1mi to get it going.
Thats great your cross training though will keep you from getting
injured! Keep up the training......the human body thrives on physical
and mental challenge! Models for the brain and miles for the body!! LOL

I asked my girlfriend about this last night and she said it was because I don't have children......

Well I thought it’s because of her that you look younger ;) Guess I was wrong ;)

G she is right about that!

I know I haven't updated this in a while, but I got out the air brush and did some painting tonight:

IMG_3944.jpgIMG_3947.jpgIMG_3948.jpgIMG_3949.jpgIMG_3951.jpg

She is rough around the edges. I was using a new airbrush and I haven't done any painting since the last contest.

She is going to get a few more color coats before I start detail painting. So this is NOT her final color. I am about at the half way point.

I ran out of mixed paint or I would have finished up the base color. That will get done in the next week or so. I want her done by next weekend, my LHS has a contest and she will be my entry.

I broke one of the parts on the ship, can anyone find it? I want to see if it is visible to someone other than me.

Video will come later in the month..... I captured quite a bit of the painting process on tape.

Looks great to me as well! Nice to see You've reached the painting stage with her.
I've been looking through the pics for quite a time, but failed to find which of the parts had been broken off
(Will You reveal it if all the others fail to find it? ;D)

Very nice. I like this ship, and indeed all the ships from Star Blazers.

I can't see anything broken on the pics, but I think I remember you say on a previous video that it was one of parts from the wing? Can't see anything, so good repair job, G. :)

Thanks all.

Yes Igard, it is on one of the wings. I circled it in this photo:

break.jpg

I had to drill out a hole and insert a steel pin to make it strong again. In a small delicate part like that one, a break is usually fatal.
