Desslok's Command Cruiser....

Like I've said before Grendels, thanks for taking the time to share all this info. Good Stuff!!!

exellent vidz grendels outstaniding info. you've done some nice builds. thanks for the lighting tutorials
look forward to seeing the cruiser finished ; :)

Yeah, she is big. And quite nicely detailed - all those raised structures around the bridge and near the engines.
Looks excellent, and You've done a remarkable job putting her together, buddy! Well done!

Man as many times as I have tried to use the dental pick tool
to scribe i just can't do it. I find the skinny barrel always
rolls in my hand when i try to draw it across. So I just
started to experiment with the #2 knife. I find the thicker
handle gives me more control, I also noticed the farther
away I am in regards to the length of the tool is a factor also.
It seems the closer I am to the blade the more control I have
and it's easier to adjust pressure. Thats looking really good
G I want to try the Mr. Surfacer stuff that looks like it would be excellent
for filling in botched panel lines......which I have a few on the A-Wing! LOL

Nice to see her all together. Makes for a very attractive ship. Cant wait to see her all done. Any advice on where I can get this kit?

Thanks! Still have one seam to fix, and she will be ready for color coats!

Thank you Q and SLW45

Jamaicanmodels69: I tried to score panel lines with an exacto. Just didn't get it. My lines looked like a drunken spider was building a web.

A lot of the YouTubers suggested a Tamiya scriber, one was ordered and is on its way here.

The dental picks work good for me, mainly because that is what I learned with.

I would look on Ebay. I think I paid a whole $3 USA for this kit. Shipping was cheap as well. I was just in the right place at the right time.

Really cool looking ship! It reminds me of the space battlecruiser Yamato. I can tell it's from the same universe.

Nice trick with the dymo tape. I'll have to try that. Using a steel ruler causes all sorts of problems!

Nice job putting her together and all that seam filling. Great instructions, I learned alot. Looking forward to seeing her with paint!

Thanks Igard, I tried the ruler thing, it doesn't work that well. This stuff works pretty good!

Yea I know what you guys are talking about with
the ruler! It always seems to move around on you
even if your holding it down! Only way I get that
to work is to tape it down.
If you find you want to try the exacto knife with the #2 body and #11 blade
try snapping off the very end of the point, i never scribe with that point
on the end. Also this can change the scale of the panel line in regards
to width. So if you feel you need it a bit wider go ahead and snap it up
even further.

I was using the pointed end, so now I know what I was doing wrong.....

yea just snap that very end of the tip off with a pair
of small needle nose pliers.

I might need to make a scribing video soon. I did a putty video, and a lighting video, so why not? That is something for the future....
