Merseajohn's Corellian YT-2400 'outrider' 1/72 Resin

Yeah I think you maybe right John but there's no gettin in there now! Magnets wouldn't hold that thing together lol! (unless they were subwoofer ones!) but I can live with it and it looks pretty much White in person.

Looking really good, John. Blue or white, the gunner's light looks great!

Base colour looks pretty awesome too.

All cold white light look a little bit blueish on photos and video. Actually, I thing that is a really nice effect , and it is everywhere in tar wars films (for example the falcon's engine lights where they were not painted were white in life, created by a halogen lamp). So I wouldn't have worried about that anyway, merseajohn.
The first layer of paint looks really great. It was allways hard for me to find the correct color for such not really white sw ships as Falcon, or other YTs or X-Wing. Is that a 'bottle' paint'or a mixed one?

Thanks guys! Solander it's a 50/50 mix of humbrol enamel 147 & 28. It's the same mix as my falcon.

wanna check out the humbrols...for my Xwings and Yings i have used a big bottle i mixed up of Vallejo Deck tan and Vallejo white. it give it a very warm whiteish grey beige color. but i think the falcon may be more super light grey? its soo hard to tell from movie pics and on screen.

She's looking really good.
And I agree with Grendels. Might be leakage from the engine lights

@Panzer : you can totally add LEDs to your tanks etc...they always had headlights and tailights and one thing i saw recently was someone added a fiber optic to a Panzer 1/35 scale commander in the tip of his cigarette. now that was f**kin cool!!! Im gunna try that on my 1/16 KV-2 build soon.

Update time, got the colours on (only the top) this has taken me nearly all day :p it does take quite a long time masking, pre shading, colour, repeat. But I'm happy with the results, I'll post the refrence photo that I'm working on but none of them match so there's room for 'artistic liscence'. Also I cant make it as dirty as the falcon because it isnt as beat up or as old and hasnt the upgrades, but it will be weathered and thats when the real fun starts!

Note the gun isnt as long as the cgi model but nor is the left side....it seems to work so I'm leaving it that way :p
