Thanks, guys. It means a lot.
Final update time on the Columbia build
Gave the bottoms of most of the aircraft a coat of Vallejo grey primer
Followed that by flipping them all over and goiving the tops a coat of Vallejo dark grey primer.
SHIELD 616 was given an overall coat of the dark grey primer
All of the Omega 7 aircraft were then given a coat of Testors Graphite Dust on the upper side
SHIELD 616 was given an overall coat of the same color, but that was followed by a coat of flat to tone it down
The quinjets had their cockpits painted in with metallic light blue, and had "Omega 7" logos drawn in on the wings.
Their exhausts were touched with a black wash.
SHIELD 616 had her cockpit windows painted in with the same metallic blue, and I also added the skylight from Colson's office
For the F-35s and F-23s, I opted not to draw on the wing logos due to size.
Their cockpits were painted in with metallic light blue, and their exhausts were touched with a black wash
Using a light black wash, I painted in the lines for the deck elevators and catapults, as well as framing in the catapult blast shields
Using a similar technique, I went to the bottom of the hull and painted in the impression of section/panel lines.
I also added some vertical detail lines to the hoverfan housings
With that ready, I printed out decals for my runway and for the various "Omega 7" logos that would mark the ship
The ship was given a gloss coat for decal application, followed by a flat coat to tone it all down.
Using the black wash, I went in and repainted the elevator and catapult lines that had been covered by decals.
Throughout various locations, I added some defensive weaponry that I picked up from Shapeways for the ship.
Once all of that was done, the air wing was glued into position
