Nice update Sol! Man I love all thos designs. I'm realy not into the THE OLD REPUBLIC stuff but the designs of the ships are very cool. I believe theres some talk about the Ebon Hawk getting built in a number of sizes over at Starship modeler.
Have seen the topic You're talking about, John. You know, its just like it always happens: you only have to bring your ideas into the form of words, so to say let them into the world, and (in this case it was like in a matter of a day or so) they start to a appear everywhere, spreading faster then light. Being a physicist I'm quite skeptic about all that esoteric stuff, but with things like this you really start thinking about a unite informational sphere of the Universe and so on :

Love the details Sol,
For the grebblies is there any specific type of model or scale you use more than others e.g Tank, ship, car?
As for those ships, you need to scratch build a big one, then with your super detailing & fiber optic skills you could go CRAZY on the details.
Now that would be cooooool dude.
do it, do it, do it, do it.!!!!!!!!!!!

As a rule I try to put everything I can find to a good use, but there is one kit that I find most ideal for making different grebblies of. It is the Tamia's German Flackvierling gun. Lots of cool details. I think that over the last year I've reaped about 5 or 6 of these kits. And as far as I know, guys from ILM also used that kit a lot. Being quite familiar with it's details now, I always face them while examing the pics of the actual SW filming models.
As for the ships from KotOR - this what You've written is the exact algorithm of my plans
Basic shape, lighting and LOTS of details.
The more I'm thinking about the Hammerhead the more this project attracts me. Not 100% sure, but probably this is going to be my next project after I finish this AAT.
Speaking of the AAT.
Here is the slightly modified battle droid, ready for painting. Among the modifications I've made: cutting off the base, remaking the antennas on his backpack, a small cylinder of the restriction bolt on the chest and the changed angle of the left manipulator to hold the small macrobinocular I've also scratchbuilt.
I've also gave the interior details all the cycle of proper treatment - washing, drybrushing, weathering and streaking with AK's rust and oil liquid pigments.
Now its only left to seal it all off with mat finish.
