I'd love to pop one, Chris... I got 1/72 DML M1A2 and a HT but the problem is I still had some pending builds that I have to finish, most especially our local Seal GB... already got 1 out of 4, I also posted the ship progress here in SMA... and aside from that BSC is just around the corner... am afraid to burn out during that time.
for now I'll stay on the side line... still a lot to learn... will be waiting for the next competition, Hopefully its not figs and I'll reserved a 1/72 Hasegawa Mig 23 for the A/C competition.
Another little bit done ;D Most of the main bodywork has been assembled ,the area where the two cab sides and the scuttle panel come together can be a bit of a nightmare on these sometimes ,trying to get it all to line up properly without gaps and making sure it lines up with the bonnet too ,but on this one it went together a dream .
So ,as you can see I got the cab assembled ...leaving the dash out for now ,then got the front end done ,and after that I put the drop sides together ,these still need more details like handles and steps ,but I set them on to check the fit .
I also fashioned a new weather strip out of foil and added some straps to the water tank on the firewall ,I made up the pipes for it too and forgot to take pics ...I'll get some for next time ,
Just catching up on your build here Chris. Lookin' really sweet so far Buddy! Great job on the seat cushions!! Maybe just my luck of the draw, but I have yet to see a decent representation of a seat cushion. Even when the seat frame and stuff is all good, the cushion is a perfectly smooth, perfectly square, thing of beauty : Not very realistic. You've certainly handled that shortcoming nicely Chris!! Keep up the great work.
Thanks a lot fella's Im just cracking on getting most of the building done ,then I'll go back over adding little extras ,bolts ,rivets ,welds etc ..... Just for fun ;D
